Worship Online
Central’s Session has agreed that it is in the best interest of all who worship at Central, and all who are served by our community, to cancel all in-person worship and activities at Central until further notice. Every Sunday, new content will be posted to this page for a worship-on-demand experience that you can view anytime throughout the week. For those without regular internet access, we are mailing worship materials via postal mail. If you have limited web access or know of someone in need of mailed content, please contact Anna Sanchez or call (651) 224-4748.

Worship service
This week Central turns the reigns of its weekly worship services over to the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area. PTCA chaplain Chad Jones will lead worship with a reflection on the story of Lazarus by Rev. Dr. Diane Givens Moffett, President and Executive Director of the Presbyterian Mission Agency. In her sermon titled Tears of Lament (based on the scripture from John 11: 28-44), the Reverend will speak on the tears of sorrow and the hope they point towards. A time for children called Clay Jars will be shared by Rev. Chad Jones, with several music pieces offered by area churches, including several songs by Central Presbyterian singers and musicians.
PS. Shout out to Kiera Faye for her work on this video with the PTCA!
Offering
If Central is your church home, we encourage you to continue your tithes and offerings during this season. In so many ways, the work of Central is more important than ever before as we step up to serve those lacking important resources of daily living. You can give one time or set up a recurring payment by clicking on the donate button to the right.
Announcements
UPCOMING NEW MEMBER CLASSES
Interested in becoming a member of Central? While this unusual time may prevent us from sharing in an in person class, we are able to still offer the opportunity through Zoom teleconference events. The pastor and folks from the New Members and Volunteers Committee will hold a conversation for people interested in learning more about Central and how to get more involved. We will share and learn about others, talk about the facilities, ask questions and explore the role of faith in our lives. Save the date for a two-part class on Sundays, August 9 and 16 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. RSVP to Rev. Colby to secure your spot in the class and have the Zoom information sent to you. Hope you will join us!
CENTRAL CONNECTION CIRCLES
Join the Deacon’s Connection Circles this Thursday as the current series continues. These weekly teleconference Zoom sessions are offered as an opportunity for our Central community to gather and connect through directed conversations - sharing concerns and offering support with others. If you have not yet been a part of one, we invite you to stop by for this wonderful, casual gathering. Connection Circles run every Thursday until August 13 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Be a part of one or as many as you like
For the Zoom access information, check the mid-week eConnect email newsletter each week or email Anna Sanchez in the church office. The Zoom link is the same every week.
QUESTIONS AND EMERGENCIES
If at anytime you have questions, concerns or ideas, we invite you to reach out to our staff who will continue to be available. While voice mail will be checked as staff are able, we encourage you to send emails for more immediate response. If you have a pastoral emergency, please call 651-224-4728 ext. 102 and the voicemail will provide instruction to reach the pastor.
