Worship Online
Central’s Session has agreed that it is in the best interest of all who worship at Central, and all who are served by our community, to cancel all in-person worship and activities at Central until further notice. Every Sunday, new content will be posted to this page for a worship-on-demand experience that you can view anytime throughout the week. For those without regular internet access, we are mailing worship materials via postal mail. If you have limited web access or know of someone in need of mailed content, please contact Anna Sanchez or call (651) 224-4748.

4 Ways to Give
If Central is your church home, we encourage you to continue your regular tithes and offerings during this season. In so many ways, the work of Central is more important than ever before as we step up to serve those lacking important resources of daily living. Announcements
LET’S CONNECT FOR COFFEE TIME!
After watching worship, head over to zoom and connect for a casual coffee time with others from Central. We may not have coffee and cookies waiting in the Friendship Room, but we can offer great casual conversations! Kiera Faye will lead and you will have opportunity to talk with many in break-out groups. (The zoom link can be found in the mid-week eConnect email.) Coffee Time is offered on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. with the same Zoom link for all.
SEE YOU MONDAY!
We had wonderful conversation during our January gathering. Thank you to everyone who attended networking group! This group is a great way to informally connect with women of all ages in our congregation. Our February gathering will be on Monday, February 22nd at 5:00 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. (Check the eConnect email for the Zoom link). We also invite you to email women@centralforgood.org to be added to our mailing list and receive the Zoom link direct to your inbox.
SAVE THE DATE!
The session of Central is pleased to announce that Rev, Dr. Carol Reed has been selected to serve as Transitional Pastor beginning March 3, 2021. Rev. Reed is currently serving as Pastor at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Long Lake, Minnesota.
Sunday, March 7 will mark her first appearance leading worship and on Sunday, March 21, we will witness our first live-stream worship service with Rev. Reed at the helm. Afterward, we will gather on Zoom for Coffee Time and have the opportunity to welcome her to Central. Stay tuned for details!
CENTERED IN ADVOCACY - A CONGREGATIONAL SPOTLIGHT
This week, Central’s own Maggie Gordon, spoke with Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative for a congregational spotlight on their blog. It is an excellent read and a great representation of our church family! To read it, click here.
OPPORTUNITY FOR INVOLVEMENT
The Coordination Mission Committee is sponsoring a donation drive at Central in February to benefit the Rice Street Food Shelf, part of Keystone Community Services. Even with donations over the holidays, they are experiencing great needs in the following areas:
Food related - soup, peanut butter, jelly, sugar, flour, cereal, rice, vegetable oil
Household - dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels
Personal hygiene- tampons, pads, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap
Baby items- diapers, baby wipes
Financial donations can also be made in the form of a check made out to Keystone Community Services. Please write “Rice Street” on the memo portion of your check. A drive-up donation drop-off will be held on Sundays, Feb. 21 and Feb. 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the MPR parking lot. You can also drop donations off at church on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. by February 25th, please buzz to be let in. Donations can be left on the front table in the dining room.
CAN WE GIVE YOU A GIFT?
The music staff at Central is so grateful to continue to do our work, even in these difficult and strange times. We know that people are finding music to be especially comforting as we find ourselves anxious or lonely or afraid. We would love to give you a gift of music if that would be something you would value.
If you have a request of a favorite hymn that you would like played or sung for you, please send an email to Jennifer Anderson. We will make a recording of it as we are able, and send it to you. If it fits the liturgical theme, we may also use it in worship! But regardless, it will be a recording that you can listen to and be reminded that you are cared about by the Central community.
QUESTIONS AND EMERGENCIES
If at anytime you have questions, concerns or ideas, we invite you to reach out to our staff who will continue to be available. While voice mail will be checked as staff are able, we encourage you to send emails for more immediate response. If you have a pastoral emergency, please call 651-224-4728 ext. 100 and the voicemail will provide instruction to reach the deacons.
