Worship Online
Central’s Session has agreed that it is in the best interest of all who worship at Central, and all who are served by our community, to cancel all in-person worship and activities at Central until further notice. Every Sunday, new content will be posted to this page for a worship-on-demand experience that you can view anytime throughout the week. For those without regular internet access, we are mailing worship materials via postal mail. If you have limited web access or know of someone in need of mailed content, please contact Anna Sanchez or call (651) 224-4748.

VOCALPOINT IS CELEBRATING SUNDAY! JOIN US!
Everyone is invited to the MPR / Central parking lot on Sunday, January 31st from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. for a Birthday Open House! Complete with treats from The Cookie Cart, hot beverages, a warm fire, and ways to support our 9 non-profit partners by donating to their work! We'll also have a place for you to share your favorite VP memory!
Plan to contribute (with checks, cash, or "pledge cards" which represent a gift you will give on-line) to one (or more!) of our past non-profit partners:
Open Arms of Minnesota - Located in the epicenter of the destruction in South Minneapolis this summer, Open Arms continues to serve healthy, local meals to their clients. During COVID 19, these meals, safely delivered, are even more crucial.
Avenues for Youth - During this pandemic and various stay-at-home orders, Avenues is providing that HOME for young people who would not have a safe place to be.
Neighborhood House - "The Neighb" is providing crucial support while so many experience unemployment during COVID 19, including rent/housing assistance and food. They have continued to offer literacy and adult education classes by moving those online.
The Advocates for Human Rights - The Advocates continue their ongoing work to dismantle systemic racism by providing legal support to those seeking justice, and by calling on the United States and member states to dismantle the existing policing systems and to create a national commission to examine police tactics nationwide, including the use of excessive force, militarization of local police forces, and policing of protests.
Upstream Arts - Just 3 blocks from where George Floyd was murdered, Upstream Arts is grieving in a profound way with its neighbors. But its mission continues by shifting to online resources during COVID 19. Upstream is continuing to cultivate self-expression and social connections with the disability community.
One Heartland - One Heartland joined with other LGBTQ Organizations to call out racial violence, and to underscore especially the violence against trans POC. Unfortunately, due to COVID 19, summer camps were not able to be held, but One Heartland is working on other ways to connect with their youth. And they are planning (and hoping!) that camps will resume this summer!
Twin Cities RISE! (TCR!) - TCR is holding classes online during this time of social distancing. It is worth noting that it was during our partnership with TCR that we, as a chorus, read "The New Jim Crow" and watched the documentary "13th." These were foundational in understanding more of the systemic racism -- especially in our justice system -- in the United States.
Walk-In Counseling Center - COVID 19 is not only a physical health emergency, it is a mental health emergency as well. Walk-In continues to provide free, no-appointment needed, anonymous counseling to all who need it.
Express Bike Shop - Thanks to their shop's expansion last year (which was partially funded by our support!) they were able to continue to employ young people to work on bikes -- and as we know, the use of bikes for transport, exercise, and fun really took off during the pandemic. They would welcome any used bikes for them to fix up and sell!
This event takes place outside in the MPR/Central parking lot at 9th and Minnesota in downtown St. Paul. Masks and social distancing measures will be in effect. (Unless it's a true blizzard or bitterly cold, we will be there! Stop on by, we're a hearty bunch!)
