Many of us have watched our faith and churches get taken up in service of causes and visions of domination that Jesus explicitly opposed. This evening is intended to show us a different way - a way closer to the one Jesus showed us.

Taylor names what how Christianity has been coopted by authoritarianism, why it’s been so effective, and how to follow Jesus in times like these without becoming complicit.

Taylor is a Visiting Scholar at Georgetown University’s Center on Faith and Justice. He is the author of The Violent Take It By Force (out now), and Defying Tyrants (coming October 6th). Books will be available for sale.
