Installation of Associate Pastor Bair
May 19, 2019 (10:30 a.m.)
Join us for installation of Rev. Ashley Bair as our Associate Pastor. The celebration and culmination of dreams, generosity, and hard work, as well as an affirmation of faith in God’s call on this church for the future. Special music from Central Choir, Central Chamber Ensemble, guest instrumentalists, and the premiere of a new hymn commissioned by Central Presbyterian Church from Abbie Betinis, our composer-in-residence.
New Hymn Premiers
After the new branding of Central was created, we knew we wanted to highlight the art with a new hymn. When Abbie Betinis took the role of composer-in-residence, it was an obvious fit. On May 19, the day that we celebrate being called into ministry – as a church, and specifically Rev. Ashley Bair’s call to ministry here at Central, we will premiere the hymn during worship.

From the News Blog
As we encounter Jesus in the gospel, I am reminded over and over just how brave Jesus is. His willingness to encounter evil face to face, and his deep desire to protect the vulnerable ones around him. . . . If we could take on two things during this season of Lent, the first one would be to take heart, to put on courage. The second thing I might suggest to take on in this season would be community. There is power together.
