Join us for worship Sunday, November 28!

central 360 sermon series continues

Throughout November, Central will serve as a shelter for children and their parents experiencing homelessness, through Project Home.  So this month, as we look inward, we will come to meet and learn about issues of homelessness as we continue the Central 360 sermon series and explore housing and homelessness.  As we look out our historic doors, we can see construction continuing on a new multi-use “opportunity center” that provides meals, career assistance and units of housing.  On this day worship will both educate and continue to ground our efforts in the ways of Jesus as we work for justice and hope and care for our homeless neighbors.  Central Choir sings.

From the News Blog

sermon excerpt

“With the splash of the water from the baptismal font, that work of justice is underway. The promises that we make matter. The prayers that we offer, the values that we inculcate, the discipleship that we encourage, may this all come together with God in the tikkun olam, the healing of the world.”

Rev. David Colby  / Read the Full Sermon from October 28, 2018
