Prayer Shawl Ministry

Since its inception in mid-2016, we have provided 25 prayer shawls to those in need of comfort and prayers.  And, in 2017, we created an Afghan which we presented to the Ahmady family (an immigrant family sponsored by Central).  We also made hand-made hats for the Family Place, as part of the Deck the Halls Mitten Tree.  The 4th Sunday Knitting group meets most months to chat and knit and/or crochet. Anyone who wants to knit and/or crochet is welcome! In addition to prayer shawls, we will be working on hats and mittens for the winter to be donated to social service programs in our community.  

Dorcas Circle

The Dorcas Circle has been a part of the Women of Central for many years, meeting monthly for lunch (bring your own lunch), fellowship and Bible Study.  The circle meets on the second Thursday of each month at 11:30 and uses the Presbyterian Women Horizon Bible Study materials to guide the study and discussion.  The group is currently studying the book of Hebrews using a lens of peace, peacemaking and hope.  This informal group welcomes any and all to participate.
