Holy Week at Central
The season of Lent is filled with a number of distinctive worship services to reflect on and prepare for one of the most meaningful times of the year, Holy Week and Easter. There is something for everyone and all are welcome to attend these events and/or any future services at Central.
APRIL 14 - 10:30 A.M. Worship Service
On Palm Sunday, we will remember the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, and we will look at the preparations underway for Jesus to celebrate the Passover meal with his disciples. Our children will lead the parade and sing in worship along with the Central Choir. Rev. Colby will preach. The Central Choir will be joined by our Sunday School Singers for a special celebratory anthem as we usher in Palm Sunday.
Central is proud to again use Eco-palms in our worship service as a means to promote fair trade, environmental stewardship and social justice.
APRIL 18 - 7:30 P.M. Worship Service with Communion
On this night, Christians gather around the world to remember Jesus' last supper with the disciples before his betrayal and death.
APRIL 19 - A Prayer
Holy One, our strength in suffering and our hope for salvation,
lift up your Word of life and pour out your Spirit of grace
so that we may follow faithfully all the way to the cross;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
APRIL 21 - 10:30 A.M. Worship Service
Alleluia! Christ is risen! Festive worship this morning to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Sharing in worship are Central Choir, Ars Nova Brass Ensemble, and the debut of the Central Chamber Ensemble!
